MinervaWare respects your privacy. This policy explains what is collected via this website, who holds and processes that data, why it is processed, how long it may be retained, and how you can exercise your rights.
Cookies
We do not store any information in the form of a cookie on your device. A cookie is typically used to collect non-personally identifiable information to better understand the browsing behaviors of all users in order to make online ad experiences more relevant and engaging.
What we collect
Contact form data: If you submit the contact form you provide information such as your name, email address, subject, and message. These submissions are processed and stored by our form processor (Formspree) and delivered to our email hosted with PrivateEmail. We do not store contact form submissions on our own servers.
Analytics: We use Umami (www.umami.is) for website analytics. We do not self-host Umami, it is processed through their Umami instance. Umami is configured to collect anonymized, aggregated usage data (for example: page views, browser type, device type, and approximate location by Country). Umami operates without cookies on this site and does not collect personally identifiable information.
Who holds or processes the data
Formspree: processes and stores contact form submissions on our behalf and forwards them to our email host. Formspree acts as a data processor.
PrivateEmail: our email hosting provider that receives and stores the messages forwarded by Formspree. PrivateEmail acts as a processor for emails delivered to our mailbox.
Umami: collects and stores anonymized analytics data.
This policy does not assert that any specific contractual safeguards (for example, a Data Processing Agreement) are in place between us and the named providers. For information about how each provider handles data, retention, and security, consult the providers’ own privacy documentation and any contractual arrangements you have with them.
How we use the data and lawful basis
To respond to inquiries: Contact form data is used to respond to your message and for related business communications. We are the controller for this purpose and rely on the necessity to respond to your request and our legitimate interest in communicating with people who contact us.
Analytics and site improvement: Anonymized analytics are used to understand site usage and to improve the site. We rely on legitimate interests for aggregated, non-identifiable analytics processing.
Marketing: We do not send marketing.
We do not sell personal information.
Data retention
We do not retain contact form submissions on our servers. Retention of contact messages and analytics is controlled by the respective processors (Formspree, PrivateEmail, Umami). Please note the retention periods configured with those services. Information on these providers' data retention are found on their own respective policies on their websites.
If you request deletion, we will coordinate with the relevant processor(s) to remove your data in accordance with their procedures and applicable law. Contact us at publishing@minervaware.net to make a deletion request.
Your rights
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom you have rights under data protection law including access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability and objection. California residents have rights under the CCPA-CPRA such as the right to know and request deletion (we do not sell personal information). We will coordinate with the relevant processor(s) to comply with valid requests where possible under applicable law and the processors' policies.
Security
We implement commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data. Third-party processors (Formspree, PrivateEmail, Umami) implement their own security measures; please consult their documentation for details. No internet transmission is entirely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy, especially as new features are added to our website. Any important changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above and will be anounced in our Discord server. This page will always contain the current Privacy Policy.
